Time

This is my encouragement to you right now... whatever you're doing (unless its CPR), take some time out RIGHT NOW and CONNECT WITH JESUS!

I am appalled at myself - the way I've ALREADY let school work come before Him in terms of time - but His mercies are new every morning, and I'm nipping this thing in the bud (or in the butt, as Jenn would say)!  This is a lifestyle, and I'm not going to say I WANT to have it... I'm going to say I WILL have it.

I know we should be connecting with and abiding in Him throughout the day, and that is so precious!  But there's also something to SETTING ASIDE THE TIME.  It's an appointment.  It's a sacrifice (or at least it seems that way in our twisted minds!!!).  He is worthy of our attention and our time NO MATTER WHAT!  Students, mothers, businessmen, doctors... let's give Him time.  It is NOT impossible, and He IS the priority.  If He's our bread of life and our living water... you do the math!  How EMACIATED are we right now?

Enough talk, I'm doing it.  And seriously - drop everything (other than babies and fine china!!) and get with God.  I dare you!

I just want you to know that right now I am doing CPR with one hand and scrolling through your blog with the other. Doctors have to multitask, you know.

Thanks for the reminder and the encouragement.

one of the things a bunch of us have started to do is set our alarms and watches and cell phones to go off at noon. We then pause and say the Lord's prayer.
This is an ancient tradition and it really helps you centre on Him...also makes for some interesting conversation when you are in meetings or somewhere and choose to just say - actually i need to just take a minute here and pray...!
