heyheyhey!

Who says that again?  Is it Yogi?  No wait, what does he say?  Maybe it IS Yogi.  Yogi Bear.  It's weird - I can picture everything about him including his outfit and the colours on it, but I can't remember his main line.  What was the little bear's name again?  I've never really liked Yogi.  He's kind of obnoxious.  And a little too much like an actual MAN.

Kermit and Robin, on the other hand, are fantastic.  How could I turn against my own?  For me, it's a self-deprecating thing to insult the Muppets.  Sigh... Claire, you know what I'm sayin'.  Gotta love it... gotta hate it.  Hey - my choir director whom I love has been continually referred to as a Muppet throughout his life, too!  Maybe that's the key - I need to EMBRACE the inner Muppet, and find another Muppet to spend the rest of my life with.  As long as it's not Scooter... and as long as his name's not Rolph.  OH... and... whoa, it cannot be a Gonzo type.  So basically I've narrowed it down to Animal.  Well, I've been called Janice (she played bass or keys in Animal's band) a number of times.  So that fits.  Somebody find me a craaaaazy drummer with stringy red fur and an anger problem.  That should do it.

Ha!  Robin.  So little, yet so... MATURE.  Man, I wish I could have worked with Jim Henson somehow in the 70's and 80's.  Well, the 70's wouldn't have worked out, I guess, since I didn't exist until 1979, and I didn't even get out of the womb until 1980.  But I had GOLDEN material in the 80's!  Everyone at Brookville Public School was painfully aware of that.

I'm not even sure if anyone will read this blog again since I didn't post for so long!  That would be sad.  I journal a lot... I don't need this as an outlet.  It's purely for the readers.  So if there are no comments, I'll probably spiral downwards into a deep depression.

Jusssst kidding.

So, I didn't mean to talk about ANY of the above.  Shoot!  This was supposed to be an update about school, which I'll briefly give you now... now that you're bored with this post and wish I'd end it!  Admit it - who has scrolled down already to see how long this REALLY IS?!?!

This is the big term.  Huge, actually.  Maybe my most daunting in the whole 4 years here!  That's all I'll say about that right now.

NOT daunting, however, is what I have to end this post to do... I have to compose a piece for piano that uses ONE PITCH!  That's it - one.  I'm choosing E (it's the greenest pitch I know).  I mean, there's surprisingly a lot you can do with one pitch, especially on a piano.  But it's really more an exercise in rhythm than anything.  I feel like we're digressing.  We have a new composition teacher (the woman I came here to hopefully study with, actually)... and we seem to be starting at square one... interesting, since our FIRST comp. prof expected wayyyy too much of us.  So it's kind of refreshing.  And who knows, maybe things will get really complicated after this "one pitch" assignment.  I'm undecided as to whether I want that or not.  I have more than a full course load this term.

Okay, I'm going to go do this ridiculous assignment.

Happy 2009, everyone!
